This is the cornerstone of my success. It is also something I have struggled with for years. In a world where the messages we receive are often boil down to “You are not enough”, believing you have value can be difficult. As a person with a visible disability, I find it often very difficult. However, I’ll write more about my story later, so stay tuned.
So, how do you maintain the belief that you have value? I think the answer to that question is different for everyone, answering the following question helps me: "How do I make the world a better place?
We all do. It’s as simple and complex as that.
I used to walk in to work passed a poster that said “Everyone Can Do Something”. The image on the poster was two wheelchair users working together on something. I don’t remember exactly what, but I’ll try to find the image and post it below. I believe it and want to help you believe it too.
What questions do you ask yourself? What do you say about yourself|? I can help you with that.
